Chemical catalyst production plant has been inaugurated at our Tsuchiura Plant
The chemical catalyst production plant has been inaugurated on March 10, 2014 at our Tsuchiura Plant site, with investment value of approx. 600 million yen. By this investment, it has become ready for Furuya to be entrusted with production of processing chemical catalyst for chemical plants by domestic chemical producers. Trial catalyst production will soon be commenced, while commercial production under the entrusted contract with chemical producers will be started during the 2015 fiscal year. Based on the completion of this facility as well as the dry melting furnace introduced in August 2013 for recovery of lower grade precious metal scraps, the complete production and recycling system has established in house, namely "from the production of high grade precious metal powder, chemical compounds, chemical catalyst, delivery to entrusted producers, and through to recovery and refining of spent chemical catalyst". It is proudly said that the recycling model of chemical process catalyst has been established.
