Furuya’s Advisor Awarded the Commander Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the Polar Star
On June 3, 2022, Furuya’s Advisor Shigeyuki Hiroki was awarded the Commander Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the Polar Star by Swedish Ambassador Högberg in Tokyo.
Since the Royal Order of the Polar Star was established in 1748, this prestigious honor has been awarded in the name of the King of Sweden for distinguished achievement in service to Sweden in the fields of science, literature, culture, social contributions, etc. as determined by the Swedish government.
Shigeyuki Hiroki received this honor in recognition for his contributions in promoting a friendly and cooperative relationship between Japan and Sweden and fostering mutual understanding between both countries while serving for more than three years as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Sweden.
